Getting the size right is as important as getting the rug right. Here is a simple guide.

| 4×6 ft (120×180 cm) | Small bedroom, home office, reading corner |

| 6×8 ft (180×245 cm) | Living room anchor, dining table for 6 |
| 8×10 ft (245×300 cm) | Large living room, open-plan space |

How to Measure Your Space
Living room: The rug should sit under the front legs of all seating. Leave at least 45 cm of bare floor around the edges.
Dining room: The rug should extend at least 60 cm beyond each side of the table so chairs remain on the rug when pulled out.
Bedroom: Place the rug so it extends at least 50 cm beyond each side of the bed. A 6×8 ft works for a queen; a 8×10 ft for a king.
